Here is how to maximize your diaper savings on Amazon:

1. Sign-up for a FREE Amazon Mom account! Anyone can sign-up, not just moms! You will get 15% off select diapers and FREE 2-Day shipping on all your orders. Plus after your first order of diapers you will receive a $10 off coupon in the mail to use on a future order of diapers.

.
.
2. Order your diapers using the “Subscribe & Save” option to the right of your screen. You will save a total of 30% off (15% for having an Amazon Mom account and 15% for choosing the subscribe & save option).
.
.

.

..

3. Use an Amazon 20% off or $10 off baby store coupon. Just enter your “Promotional Claim Code” in the box during checkout. See my Q&A section below on where to find these coupons.

.

4. Use Amazon Diaper Coupons from their website. There aren’t always coupons, but when there are you can save BIG! Be sure to refresh your browser a few times to see all the coupons available. Clicking on the coupon will automatically add it to your account and take you to a list of products that the coupon can be used on. Those products may or may not be the best prices, you can always check, but make sure you compare them with my list of the best Amazon Diaper Deals or check out the Amazon Subscribe & Save Page in Diaper Care.

YES, all 4 of these savings can be combined into one single transaction! Can you believe that?! It’s totally, honestly, really TRUE!

It’s Q&A time! Here are some of the most frequently asked questions regarding diaper savings on Amazon:

Q: Where do I get Amazon 20% off or $10 off Diaper Coupons?
A: Believe it or not you can actually get these coupons for free in many places! Here is a list of places that have Amazon diaper or baby store coupons:

………..……….

Q: Can Amazon Baby Care Promotional Codes be stacked?
A: I wanna say, yes sometimes! I say this because there is always an exception to the rule and sometimes rules change. I have heard that YJ codes are stacking with coupon codes that begin with YT!  And I have also heard that on top of those two codes stacking they also stack with the $10 codes that are out there. Hey, my philosophy is it can’t hurt to try! The worst that could happen is they get rejected in your checkout process, right? Give it a try!

Q: I’ve already used an Amazon Diaper Coupon Code and I want to use more. Can I?
A: Yes! After your first order of diapers has shipped cancel your subscribe & save subscription and you will be able to make a new order using new coupons!

Q: Where do I find a list of Amazon Diaper Deals?
A: You can check out my list of the best Amazon Diaper Deals or check out the Amazon Subscribe & Save Page in Diaper Care.

Whew! Ok, I think that just about covers it, but if you have any other questions or if you want to share a diaper deal you found with the rest of us leave me a comment on my Coupon Gal Facebook Page, or email me! I love it when you guys share the savings!

Deals Do Arrive!!

September 8, 2010

I was so excited just now when I checked my mailbox and in it was my hair accessories that I got through the Cover Your Hair Eversave deal! Remember that one? They are sooooo cute!! I just love how bright all the colors are! The best part is I got all those for just $2.75 ea. including the tax and shipping costs!! These hair accessories sell for $5 – $8 ea. elsewhere!

Also, last week I got my $2.16 sandals from the JcPenny Shoe Deal I wrote about! I plan ahead because I truly believe it is the best way to save money, so these sandals are two sizes too big for my daughter right now, but guess what? They will fit her next Summer ;)

Did any of you get either of these deals? Ohhh…I sure hope so! I am sharing my pictures with you so that you can see these deals I write about do work and the stuff does come. If you are anything like I was in the beginning you are a little hesitant because it’s all so new and hard to believe or even a little too complicated to figure out. Well, I understand and I am here to help answer any questions you have. If you ever need clarification or help with a deal I have posted, just leave me a comment on that deal or on my Coupon Gal Facebook Page and I will respond as quickly as I can.

My Frugal Vacation!!

September 7, 2010

(Jaycie & Me)

A little over a week ago I met my dear friend Jaycie (from Coupon Geek) in Las Vegas, Nevada. We live so far apart and usually only get this opportunity at blogger conferences (if we are lucky). So, we decided we could plan a little FRUGALICIOUS vacation using all the online resources and coupons possible! Let me tell you….we definitely succeeded!! Your probably thinking, you what? In Vegas? Haha…well, we figured Vegas hotels would be cheap during the hot Summer months and it was! So, let me tell you how we did this little frugal mini-vacation and all that we were able to do in just two days!!

First, Jaycie saved up her Swag Bucks to purchase Southwest Gift Cards and flew to Vegas for FREE! Yes, I said FREE!! It is possible! Swag Bucks is an awesome search engine program that allows you to earn points just for searching the internet the way you already do and then redeeming the points for prizes or gift cards. My plane ticket was a gift from my parents for my birthday.

Southwest offered Jaycie a discount code for the Monte Carlo Hotel in Las Vegas when she booked her flight, so we got our hotel super cheap. One of the nights was only $59!! There are lots of online discount hotel sites like Hotels.com that offer very competitive rates and the further ahead you plan, the more you will save!

While we were there we ate at restaurants that we got certificates for through Groupon! Groupon is a wonderful online program that offers 50-90% off various online stores, restaurants, spas, entertainment, etc. Every day they have a different offer in almost every major city, so if you plan ahead, check Groupon daily and purchase certificates ahead of time for places near your vacation site (or even at home for a date night) you can save a ton on entertainment and dining out!

We paid $25 for a $55 dining certificate for the upscale Kotan Asian restaurant in the Treasure Island Hotel. I have to tell you….it was AMAZING food and it was fun getting dressed up too! The outfit I am wearing cost $15 (from Forever 21) and Jaycie’s dress was $25 (from Target)! When it comes to clothes,  you are in the right place for deals because I LOVE fashion!! In fact a lot of my friends call me a frugal fashionista ;) I think that is funny! Well, who said just because I am wise with my money means that I can’t still have a sense of fashion? Right? Well, you will find clothing sales, promo codes, and printable coupons for department and retail stores on a weekly basis here on Coupon Gal.

(This is me)                                                        (This is Jaycie)

The food was not only delicious, but it was actually beautiful!! Check out our california sushi rolls and mochi desert!

For entertainment, we are simple gals (and frugal too), so you can bet we took advantage of the FREE stuff! We enjoyed our hotel pool, street performers, and even watched the water show in front of the Bellagio hotel. That water show is wonderful by the way….if you ever go there, you should take a little time to go see it.

I know you are probablly going to laugh, but we even went to the movies!! Haha…I know, movies in Vegas? Well, we both have little ones at home and it isn’t always easy to get out to see a movie, so we used our $4.00 Fandango Movie Ticket we purchased through Groupon to see the movie Eat, Pray, Love! It was a great movie by the way and I am reading the book now!

If you have been reading my blog for any time now, you know I LOVE to take pleasure in the sweet things in life! You know…. warm Summer nights, dancing when no one is looking, and of course DESERT!! I actually (just ONCE) want to go to a restaurant and order desert before my meal! Why not? Wouldn’t that be fun? Well, thanks to Groupon once again, Jaycie and I each got a dozen of Gigi’s Cupcakes for just $18!

I have to tell you, the best part about getting these cupcakes was giving them out to random people in Vegas! We gave one to a vendor in the middle of the Caesars Palace mall, gave some to two different couples eating next to us at the Cheesecake Factory, four different workers in Tiffany’s & Co., and even to a girl in the women’s restroom! Haha….seriously, I did give her one in there! It felt wonderful to share our deals we got with other people, even if it was in the bathroom ;)

So, while I love taking the time to write and tell you a little about my life, my main point is that planning ahead is the best way to save money!! I know I say that all the time, but I say it because I really do believe it! I practice what I preach here on Coupon Gal. I have a Swag Bucks account, a Groupon account, I use Hotels.com, and I definitely PLAN AHEAD! Thanks to these wonderful programs, I am able to save, enrich my life, and enjoy frugal vacations and you can too!! So, cheers to your next frugal vacation!

*We were only there for two days and used three diffent Groupons!

I wanted to share with you a little couponing secret that I use all the time and maybe some of you hadn’t thought of. I always look at all the grocery ads and clip all the MANUFACTURER coupons I find from each one. Then I look at all the ads and see if I can get a good deal using them at another store!

For example, this week the Cardenas ad had a $4.00 MC off 4 12-packs of coke. At Albertsons this week they have coke on sale for $1.99 ea. if you buy 4, so this is what I did:

Buy 4 Coke (12-Packs): $1.99 ea.
Use $4.00 Cardena’s In-Ad Coke Coupon (this was a MANUFACTURER Coupon)
Final Price: $.99 ea.

Hot deal huh? So my point is to show you (if you didn’t already know) how to pull off these little behind the scene saving tricks. It’s a great way to maximize your dollar without having to go searching very far for coupons!

That’s my little tip for today! Hope you are having a great weekend!

How do you Stockpile?

I have received several emails from readers wanting to know how I save the most. There are many methods, but the one way I would say accounts for about 75% of my savings is stockpiling!

What is Stockpiling?

Stockpiling is when you literally stock-up on items that you use the most of when they are at a rock bottom price! Since fruit snacks are something I often stockpile and I got such an awesome deal on them this week at Albertsons, I wanted to share with an example of exactly how I do this.

Ok, so this week at Albertsons I knew I could get fruit snacks for $.10 ea. I live in Southern California, so I don’t know if this is regional, but even so, it is a great example to use on how I stockpile. Since I knew I could get fruit snacks for $.10 ea., I bought 15 boxes!! YES 15 BOXES! I told you my husband laughs at me when I do this! Here is how I did it:

All in ONE trip to the grocery store!

*Each of the coupons in the transactions below are from different locations that you can still print, so if you want to do this sale yourself, you can. You have until tomorrow, Tuesday, March 9, 2010!

Transaction #1:
Buy 5 Boxes of Betty Crocker Fruit Snacks: $1.00 ea.
Use 2 $.50 Betty Crocker Fruit Snacks Printable Coupon
Pay: $4.00
Receive $3.50 Catalina Coupon
Final Price: $.10 ea.

Transaction #2
Buy 5 Boxes of Betty Crocker Fruit Snacks: $1.00 ea.
Use 2 $.50 Betty Crocker Fruit Snacks Printable Coupon
Use $3.50 Catalina Coupon from the 1st transaction
Pay: $.50
Final Price: $.10 ea.

Transaction #3:
Buy 5 Boxes of Betty Crocker Fruit Snacks: $1.00 ea.
Use 2 $.50 Betty Crocker Fruit Snacks Printable Coupon
Use $3.50 Catalina Coupon from the 2nd transaction
Pay: $.50
Final Price: $.10 ea.

So, basically I ended up paying $5.00 out of my pocket, but I have a $3.50 catalina coupon still that I can use on anthing :) So, I bet you are wondering how I store these…. I remove all of them from the boxes and store them in zip loc bags because they take up less room than all those boxes you see above. I put them in my stockpile cabinet and there you go.

The key to stockpiling is to choose the things you use the most of that can be stored and have a long shelf life. So, for me those things would be toilet paper, paper towels, laundry soap, toothpaste, shampoo, conditioner, lotion, cereal, granola bars, fruit snacks, condiments, bread, cheese, chicken, and ground turkey. I may be missing something, but you get the idea. I have a whole series that I am working on right now for next month where I will walk you through my whole thought process on stockpiling, breaking down my categories, and I am even going to take you inside my stockpile cabinet….CAN YOU BELIEVE THAT?! I warn you though….it’s kinda scary :) LOL….

Please Note: I am not suggesting you stockpile fruit snacks, I am just using this as an EXAMPLE. Everyone’s needs are different, buy what suits your desires and needs for your family :)
