Target would not accept the Right Guard travel size deal. And what’s with target trying to say you have to buy whats in the coupon picture. Also, can you use blinkies from a grocery store at target. I was told no, but those coupons neither state manufacture of grocery store. Anyone have that problem?

Hi Rene!

I am sorry your Target would not accept the Right Guard Deodorant coupon. The fact that they would not take it is completely against their coupon policy here:

http://www.target.com/b/ref=br_bx_4/192-9168409-2594745?ie=UTF8&node=2223357011

Basically, they have to follow the wording on the coupon from the manufacturer. I would print a copy of their coupon policy and take it with you next time you shop so you can present it to them if you have any problems.

As far as using blinkie coupons from other stores….I have always known those coupons to be used at that store only. I think it may even say that somewhere on the back of the coupon towards the bottom. I have never personally taken them and used them at another store.

I hope the Target Coupon Policy helps you next time you shop! I hope this answers your questions…..thanks again for taking the time to write!

Thanks Coupon Gal.
On the subject of blinkies I came across this from the groceryguide.com
SmartSource Coupon Machines: SmartSource Coupon Machines, often referred to as “blinkies” due to a blinking light designed to attract your attention while walking down the aisles, generally provide a coupon directly in front of the product. They may be taken and used any time before the expiration date at any store that accepts manufacturers’ coupons. The machines typically have a slot on top for consumers to replace them if they are not interested – those that others didn’t want also are available to you, too.

I was told “no” on the blinkie, lady said it was a store coupon, but its not. It is from the smartsource coupon machine. There is no wording on the back stating to use it at the store where found or any store name what so ever.
Only info on reimbursement and where to mail. Has a bar code on back. I think target should have excepted this. I think I I just got unlucky with a cashier and a floor manager who wanted to deny as many coupons as possible.
I normally have positive experience with using coupons and will never stop using them, so I guess this was that dreaded coupon rejection that happens every so often.
would be interesting to find out how you make out with them.
As always-thanks!

Just thought I would let you know that my Target off of Day street would also not accept the Travel size Right Guard that rings up for (.97) and the Johnson and Johnson Bath Buddies Bar that rings up for (.97) or the floss that rings up for (.97). Also, the fruit chillers at my Target are not on sale they are regular price so with the coupon it makes them more than what you have posted. Can you offer any advice on using coupons for items that are prices a couple of cents less?

Rene:
I have used blinkies from Win Dixie at Publix w/o a problem.
About Target I do not know but lately they are getting worse w/coupons.
As Christy said, I always carry their policy in my binder. Had to showed it couple of time.

Hi Jennifer!

Thanks for the information on the Fruit Chillers….everything at Target varies by region and that deal came from another blogger that lives up north (northern California), but I know other people have been able to get that deal in other states as well.

As far as the store not accepting the coupons for items that are below their coupon value, that is sooooo against the Target coupon policy. Their policy specifically states the following:

“Coupon amount may be reduced if it exceeds the value of the item after other discounts or coupons are applied.”

That is a quote directly from their online coupon policy you can print and take with you to prove what they need to do in the future! Here is the link directly to their coupon policy online:

http://www.target.com/b/ref=br_bx_4/192-9168409-2594745?ie=UTF8&node=2223357011

I think Target has had a few changes to their coupon policy lately that has left their own cashiers confused a bit. I think printing their coupon policy out will definitely clear that up for ya! I mean, how can they argue with their own policy :) LOL…

Hope this helps!

Christy,

I am printing out the coupon policy as we speak to use for this next trip so I appriciate the link I will definately make use of it. The think that was so dis-heartening was the fact that the employee actually felt a sense of accomplishment turning my coupons down lol. In the end it matters not what others think of you anyway but I just thought as a side-note I would inquire as to wiether or not you have encountered such a poor display of perfessionalism with while using your coupons? (P.S—My spelling is off no spell check lol)

Jennifer….oh yes I have been looked down, talked down to, and treated badly sooo many times while using coupons. I actually have a posting going up tomorrow about this. You will have to read it. I know it’s disheartening, but keep your chin up and just remind yourself for every dollar you are saving is a dollar left in your own pocket. I just laugh inside now because I know I save about $100 per month using coupons….I can do a lot with that $100! And that is like $1,200 per YEAR….CRAZY, right! That’s a lot of money!!

Just know I have wanted to cry and yell over the way I have been treated sometimes. I will come over there and stand in line with you if I have to :0) They know me by name there and wouldn’t want to argue with me on their own coupon policy (I know it better than them and they know that…LOL…)

Let me know if you ever need support….I will be there!

Thanks for sharing that! I had the same problem with my target here!! The lady was SOOOO rude to me about the Johnson and Johnson thing.. she had the manager come over and he was like – just take it, if it scans, we take it.. I don’t understand WHY they have to look down about that? Nice to know others have that problem too, thanks for the coupon policy!! Do you know if other have that?
